This afternoon I cleaned out another apple sauce jar to make a candle light for Chinese New Year. I ripped up more gift paper and glued it to the glass. While it dried, I printed out “DOG” in Chinese Mandarin. When the name was added to the glass jar, I put candles in all three jars to honor each individual holiday of this week. Enjoy the photos. 🙂
Today, we celebrate Valentine’s Day; my 14th Anniversary moving in Dallas; and if Finley was still around, it would be his 11th Birthday.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
This morning I sprayed the jar with Frost Spray paint and let it dry in the sun. In the meantime I printed out the Mickey & Minnie silhouettes, I found on Pinterest. Once the jar was dry, I cut out the silhouettes and glued them carefully on the glass. Those little mouse tails always need a little extra attention. I usually put a little bit of glue on my finger, before I put it on the fine tails. It helps to prevent a mess. And I always can wash my hand afterwards. While the glue tried, I added some 💗-stickers and tinsel stems (pipe cleaners), which I purchased from the Dollar Store. Adding a tea candle to it gives it a romantic atmosphere. Now, all I need is some chocolate to celebrate the work I’ve done. 😉
❤ Valentine’s Day is always a very special day at my house: Today is also Finley’s 10th Birthday. And it’s my 13th Anniversary moving to Dallas, Texas. ❤
When Valentine’s Day is on a week day, we usually celebrate it the Sunday before or the Friday after. Today, the girls were excited to get some hot cocoa in different flavors. The weather forecast says, it suppose to be cold and rainy the next couple of days. It’s perfect for hot cocoa night. ❤
