Since the Fox Squirrels love to live and hang out in these Pecan trees at the Greenway Park off of Eisenhower Street in Carrollton, Texas, and the Pecan Tree is the State Tree of Texas, it was perfect to name my blog page “Under The Pecan Tree”, almost three years ago. These squirrels are well fed from all the pecans. And they are so cute, when they chase each other throughout the park. The Greenway Park has also a pond, where turtles and ducks love to visit.
1000 blogs over 3600 photos, and over 2½ years later, Under The Pecan Tree is still going strong.
There’s More To Christmas …
There’s more, much more to Christmas
Than candlelight and cheer;
It’s the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all the year;
It’s thoughtfulness and kindness,
It’s hope reborn again,
For peace, for understanding,
For goodwill to men!
In Carrollton is a little park I love to go for a little walk, after Kevin and I have lunch with him about a block away. There are lots of pecan trees, a pond, lots of squirrels, turtles birds, and a natural bee hive in an old tree trunk. It’s the perfect place to “walk the lunch off”. If you wondered, this is the park where I got the idea from for my blog title. 🙂
