Despite the cool rainy weather, it stayed above freezing inside the greenhouse. The Narcissus doesn’t seem to mind the cooler temperatures and slowly opened its blossom, yesterday. When the ground dries I have to lie down some mulch and stones. It will prevent, that I have to walk through puddles and mud in the future. But this morning, I managed to capture some photos of the Narcissus without getting my feet wet, when I walked over to the greenhouse.
This morning I sprayed the jar with Frost Spray paint and let it dry in the sun. In the meantime I printed out the Mickey & Minnie silhouettes, I found on Pinterest. Once the jar was dry, I cut out the silhouettes and glued them carefully on the glass. Those little mouse tails always need a little extra attention. I usually put a little bit of glue on my finger, before I put it on the fine tails. It helps to prevent a mess. And I always can wash my hand afterwards. While the glue tried, I added some 💗-stickers and tinsel stems (pipe cleaners), which I purchased from the Dollar Store. Adding a tea candle to it gives it a romantic atmosphere. Now, all I need is some chocolate to celebrate the work I’ve done. 😉
Since about five years I’m looking for cute Mickey & Minnie garden statues. The ones I found online were either made out of poor material or out of my price range. Yesterday, I went to a local store. And there they were sitting in the shelf: Mickey & Minnie about 10 inches tall, hard plastic material, and for only $10/each. I had to “adopt” these two sweet mice, where they can make adorable decorations between the flowers in my greenhouse from here on forward. I might do something extra with them for Valentine’s Day. 💞💖💗
