Yesterday evening was so nice and warm, Kevin, the girls and I walked along the creek behind our street. Sara wanted to go to the new bridge anyway. And Katelynn wanted to see, if she can find a fossil at the waters edge. What a nice opportunity to take the camera and capture Spring along the way.
Tomorrow is Spring Equinox. This means, day and night have the same length. In our neighborhood the trees are still in full bloom. Now, many bulb flowers start to show signs of waking up, and soon show their beauty. Down our street blooms a white Iris. In my backyard, a second set of hyacinth just started to show their first flower petals.
Earlier this week I captured photos of the neighbor’s tree, when it was raining. The fresh opened blossoms looked so pretty with these water droplets.
Today, the weather was gorgeous. So, I walked over there again. Because I saw a butterfly fluttering from one blossom to the other. When I came close enough, I noticed it was a beautiful Question Mark butterfly. The fragrance of the blossoms smelled so good. And the bees and flies agreed with me. They were all over the blooming tree, trying get all this great nectar. Keep pollinating it, sweet insects. I can’t wait to dry some fruits this Summer.
