Autumn In November 2019 (3)

While Kevin did his workout with his friends, I took a little stroll with my camera through the neighborhood this morning. It was very rewarding. In early morning, our roofs were covered in a thin layer of frost. But once the Sun came above the horizon, it warmed up very nicely. The Waning Gibbous Moon was still high in the sky. And the birds sang their songs about frosty Autumn nights.

Under The Pecan Trees (1)

Since the Fox Squirrels love to live and hang out in these Pecan trees at the Greenway Park off of Eisenhower Street in Carrollton, Texas, and the Pecan Tree is the State Tree of Texas, it was perfect to name my blog page “Under The Pecan Tree”, almost three years ago. These squirrels are well fed from all the pecans. And they are so cute, when they chase each other throughout the park. The Greenway Park has also a pond, where turtles and ducks love to visit.

Ozzy Speaks In Bird Language

When I refill the bird feeders, our felines love to watch and see, if there are any feathered friends visiting our yard outside. Once the birds show up, it is “Cat Food Network”. I love it, when our cats speak the bird’s and critters language. It is so adorable. Today, Ozzy sat by the patio door and chattered with the House Sparrows and the Blue Jays.

The Full Beaver Moon 2019

Beaver Moon, Frost Moon, Mourning Moon, Tree Moon

The trees stand dormant and naked. The Summer birds have flown south. The frost settles in or snow begins to fall. The beavers are busy making last minute preparations for the Winter ahead.

The November Full Moon is all about the final Winter preparations. It’s a time to bundle up and relax. A time to surround ourselves with things that will comfort and sustain us during the dark and cold that has so recently arrived at our doorstep.

“Hmmm! Yummy Tallow Berries!”

3890

White-winged Doves love Chinese Tallow berries in Autumn and Winter.

At this time of the year, the berries have ripened on the Chinese Tallow trees. The White-winged Doves go crazy for these berries. Every time, I’m in the backyard, I hear a lot of wing flapping in the neighbor’s tree across the alley. There are at least two dozen White-winged Doves sitting in the Chinese Tallow tree. And each dove keeps picking these delicious fruits until the tree is empty.
