The Pink Full Moon Before Beltane

This morning, I got up early to capture the Pink Full Moon. The April Full Moon called “pink”, because at this time of the year, the Prairies are covered in pink flowers. I see a lot of Evening Primroses blooming all over the fields, when I bring the girls to school in the morning.

This year the April Full Moon shines bright in the night sky in the morning before Beltane. Beltane/May Day is one of the yearly Sabbath on the Wheel of the Year. It focuses on fertility and rituals like May Pole dancing.
