Sara walked into the door, after I picked her up from school this afternoon. When I came around the car, a mockingbird sat on the bird feeder and stared at Chewbacca. The cat sat inside behind the storm door. But he could care less, that the bird watched him from a short distance. And the mockingbird didn’t mind, me being so close. I talked to the bird: “I’m getting a birdie treat ready, with seeds and peanut butter. If you want, you can visit the backyard. I know, it’s cold. And a nice peanut butter snack would keep you warm at night.” I don’t know, if the this bird has noticed the food. But I saw a couple of mockingbirds eating in the backyard.
