The Little Raccoon

It has been exactly four years, today. One of my neighbors said, she has a raccoon family sitting in the tree of her alley. The day she mentioned them, I couldn’t make it over to her house. And later it would have been too dark. The next day I asked her, if she has the raccoon family still climbing that tree. She said, that Momma Raccoon and two of her babies are gone. But for some reason, she left one behind. If it still sits there by itself by Monday (following day), she will call wildlife rescue and ask what the deal is, and if they gonna take care of the youngster.

In the meantime I used the opportunity to capture some photos of the little raccoon, before I had to go to work. When I arrived in the alley, the young raccoon took a little nap on the tree. But it woke up, when my camera made shutter noises. It was a cool and wet October day. The wind blew strong, and it drizzled. I know, that wildlife is taking good care of itself. But I fell sorry for the little guy/gal up there.

I don’t know, what the outcome was for the little critter. But I hope, he/she got back to Momma or into safe care. ❤

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins (Part IV)

Here we go! Today is Friday 13th … And another Friday has arrived to show off some of my Jack-o-Lanterns from the year 2013. Some I’ve carved for our local “Family Fright Night Campout”. And a couple of pumpkins, I’ve carved for Halloween night.
