Autumn Festivities

The Fall Festival of our local nursery will be this Saturday. Last year it was on Saturday, October 1. Here is the blog I wrote from our last visit at the Calloway’s Nursery Fall Festival 2016:

October 1, 2016

Today, Sara and I went to our local nursery to celebrate Autumn and the first day of October. The nursery had some games, pumpkin decorating, free popcorn and areas for pumpkin photos set up. Sara had a lot of fun decorating her pumpkin with stickers, seeds, pipe cleaners, paper, more stickers …, playing ‘Candy Corn Bowling’ and ‘Witch Hat Ring Toss’, eating popcorn, and walking around in her Disney’s Anna costume. While Sara was busy decorating her pumpkin, I walked around with a friend from the Community Garden to look at some cool pumpkins. Some were perfect, some were crooked, some had warts. She picked a couple. I really liked the gourd, which can be decorated as a duck, goose or swan. The chrysanthemum looked gorgeous in the nursery. Oh, how much I love Autumn! 🍁🍂🎃

October Is Here!!!

Hurray! October has arrived. It is my favorite and busiest month of the year. Both my girls are born in October; the State Fair of Texas began a couple of days ago; Halloween is only 30 days away; some of these weekends will be spend in a pumpkin patch; and the weather is being a little bit cooler. I love October! And I will blog about our fun adventures throughout the month.
