This afternoon, I had my eyes on a Turkey Vulture. Unfortunately by the time, I’ve got closer to where I spotted it, it flew further out into the distance. But I’ve got rewarded with another bird, a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher. It sat on a pole, stared at my camera and allowed me to capture several photos, before it flew away. Sweet bird!
Before I drove Sara to school, I captured the waning gibbous Moon this morning. It still seems almost full. But it is past that stage, since the Full Flower Moon was yesterday afternoon (US time). I’ve noticed a lot of birds flying from one place to another this morning as well. And I’ve watched a Great Blue Heron flew east toward its favorite fishing spot, while the sun was rising.
