Sara played ball with her peers on the street. After she escorted her friends to their houses, she sat next to me in the grass to watch the sunset in the frontyard. We were talking about bugs and the swallows, which nest two houses down from us. I tried to photograph a bug. But it flew away, before I could capture it. Seconds later, one of the swallows caught and ate it. “Ha, Karma!” I said. Sara wanted to know, what was the meaning of Karma. While we enjoyed some ice cream, I tried to explain it to her. But I have that feeling it will take another couple of years, before she will understand the true meaning of Karma. In the meantime the sun went down, and the clouds started to get all shades of pink, orange and purple.
